John Scott Hiller
Graduated from Tyrone Area High School in 1969 and from Grove City College in 1973 with a BA in Business Administration. During this time he was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the United States Air Force. He then became a pilot, flying B-52Ds at Andersen AFB, Guam, and CT-39A’s at Maxwell AFB, AL.G
He married Deborah Ann Dover on December 21, 1974. Scott Hiller separated from active duty in 1982 and joined the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, in what is now the 193rd SOW at Olmsted ANGB, Harrisburg IAP, Middletown, PA, flying EC-130E’s. While in the Air National Guard, he was hired at The W.F. Hiller Agency, where he started his insurance journey working for his father. Scott became a property and casualty agent later that year. He later became a life and health agent, and eventually became both a property and casualty and life and health broker.
In 1990, Scott became the President of The W F Hiller Agency, Inc. He is a 1983 graduate of the Aetna’s Home Office Sales Course, and is also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Sales Course. Scott retired from the Air National Guard in 2003 as a Command Pilot with over 7,200 flying hours and with the rank of Lt. Colonel.
He remains active in his community as a past president of the Rotary Club of Tyrone, PA. He has served as a deacon and elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Tyrone and is a member of the local American Legion and VFW posts. Scott has three grown children and six grandchildren.
Erika L. Killinger, CISR 
Erika was born and raised in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, and was a stay-at-home mom for several years. Erika and her family have been living in the Tyrone area for over ten years now.
In August of 2018, Erika took a part-time job at the W F Hiller Agency, Inc., since all but one of her children were grown up and out of the house. Erika soon realized how little she knew about insurance. She also noticed how many people buy insurance, but do not really understand what they are paying for. Erika soon started traveling to seminars and attending online classes and webinars to learn more.
With Scott Hiller as her advisor, Erika began working toward becoming a licensed insurance agent. In July of 2020 Erika passed her state exam and became a licensed Insurance Agent with a Property and Casualty License. In August of 2020, Erika completed her training to become a CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) with the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research through an organization of the IA&B (Independent Agents and Brokers). Her insurance education helped her become excited not only to help people with everyday auto, home, landlord, and renters’ insurance, but also to help with any type of insurance for events or businesses. With new trends always changing, she is looking forward to the challenge.
